After many years working in business with a strong focus on new business development and building lasting customer relationships, I decided to start my own business and follow my lifelong passion for animals. This led to the creation of Coleen’s Pet Salon, Daycare and Training Centre, combining my love of dogs with my professional background in customer service and business. I returned to study and achieved my City & Guilds qualification in dog grooming, with the goal of building a successful pet care business focused on the wellbeing of every dog in our care. Having grown up with pets from a young age and always having dogs as part of my life, I developed a deep understanding of dogs and the importance of treating them with the highest levels of care, patience and respect throughout their lives. During more than ten years in business we have operated several successful services, including dog grooming in Clonfert, as well as dog grooming and doggie daycare in Clane. Today, our focus has evolved into specialising in professional dog training in Dublin, Kildare and across Leinster, helping dogs and owners build stronger relationships through positive training methods. 

I have studied dog training and achieved my QQI qualification in Dog Training through Creedon’s College in Cork, and I have also completed numerous courses with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. I am committed to continually developing my knowledge and staying up to date with the latest recommended positive reinforcement dog training techniques, ensuring that every dog receives safe, effective and modern training methods.

Our vision at Coleen’s Doggie Training is to provide a calm, supportive and positive environment for both dogs and their owners.

We train dogs using reward-based, positive reinforcement methods, helping dogs learn confidently while strengthening the bond between dog and owner.

Our goal is to offer a trusted dog training service in Dublin and Kildare where owners can receive guidance, support and practical training solutions for their dogs. We strive to provide a one-stop resource for dog training, helping owners with everything from puppy training and obedience training to behaviour guidance and ongoing support.
